A Letter to the Woman Tired of the Money Taboo // Heather King
In today’s episode, I’m sitting down with Heather King - you may recognize her name from the writing she does in Magnificat on the witness of holy men and women. She also write about her experience with recovery, and how that healing process has impacted every area of her life - including the way she interacts with money.
This was without a doubt one of the best conversations I have ever had on money - and one that I’m going to be re-listening to quite a bit as I continue to sort through my own money wounds and the ways Christ is inviting me to steward the gifts he’s given me.
If you’re tired of the lack of good, meaningful conversation about finances and just how we should interact with money as Catholic women, sister, this letter is for you.
Topics we talked about in this episode:
What inspired Heather to take a different approach to finances
The money wounds that may be in your story and how you can interact with money from a place of freedom
The difference between voluntary poverty and compulsive poverty.
How to rest in the reality that there is enough and God will provide
Growing in honesty when it comes to sharing about finances in conversation
The money advice that Heather would give women listening
